Pamoja We Can Harambee USA is a program that stems its purpose from the urgency of funds that arises if or when the diaspora loses a loved one. Regrouping in order to raise money for the costs has been rather a frustrating and cumbersome process because in many cases, there have been insufficient funds to withdraw from in order to cover for the costs transporting the deceased back home.
We are committed to helping and supporting you to eliminate the hassle of raising funds for funeral services should they occur.
Our vision is to become the leader in championing traditional self-help emergency events (such as pre-funeral planning) for members of the East African diaspora in the United States, Mexico and Canada
Our mission is to reinvent the pre-funeral planning process in the front end, in a way that members will plan ahead for their funerals in order to alleviate all the costs associated with a funeral (i.e., transportation, embalming, funeral arrangements, and so forth) so that the deceased can be handled with respect and dignity at the burial of their choice.
The administration fee will begin in January 1. A penalty of 50% applies after 30 days of nonpayment of the administration fee. If payment is not received 15 days after the 30 day nonpayment period, a member will be automatically withdrawn from PHU. All contributions made to Pamoja We Can!!! Harambee USA (if any) is nonrefundable.
Delegates of states, board of Directors and NEO must address the issues that lead to suspension, termination of the member prior to the reinstatement of the member, and their recommendation will be forwarded to Founding members.
Restoration will start only when the Founding members agree that the situation which led to the suspension of membership has been rectified.
